Stuart Astleford
The founder of The Pet Sitters was raised in Eagan, Minnesota, and graduated from Burnsville High School in 1980. He received a B.A. degree in English from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 1984 and moved to Chicago, Illinois where he became an assistant manager for the Robin Hood Restaurant chain. The following year he moved to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and co-founded a successful cleaning service, which he managed until October 1988. He then returned home to Eagan to start his business, The Pet Sitters.
Stuart is a pet owner himself, and he loves working with animals. He conceived the idea for The Pet Sitters as an alternative to kennels, for people who prefer in-home care for their pets.
